#bettertogether#HowWeHelpWednesday: At the AB Korkor Foundation for Mental Health we pride ourselves on how we distribute our resources. We look for traditional and innovative ways to help all people who struggle from ill mental health. Here are some of the organizations we’ve contributed to and that we will highlight throughout the course of this month:
Penfield Children's Center Centro Hispano Art With Impact Hebron Housing Services
If you have an opportunity for us to get involved that aligns with our mission of making the world a better place for those living with challenges and/or illness related to their mental health, please do not hesitate to reach out. ... See MoreSee Less
This morning, our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager Natasha Griffin shared tips for helping children make friends with kids of all abilities on The Morning Blend TMJ4. Ben and Julia's short animated story helps kids understand what a disability is and that kids with and without disabilities typically like the same things.
In partnership with Kohl's Building Blocks, Penfield is proud to serve children of all abilities and provide valuable resources for parents and families.
A big thank you to the team at JPMorgan Chase & Co. for coming out yesterday to volunteer. Our playground fence received a fresh coat of paint and some sanding was done for an upcoming mural project! The support of our community truly makes Penfield a better place.
Our kiddos enjoyed a visit from Next Door - Milwaukee and the Mobile Community Library! You can see the joy and excitement as the kids hopped aboard the bus and picked out their books.
We are so grateful for this opportunity to get books in the hands of our kids & their families. Today a total of 186 books were given out to continue growing a love for reading with our youngest readers!
Penfield Children’s Center has made it to the fundraising portion of the 2022 A Community Thrives challenge. Yesterday our employees enjoyed a delicious lunch and great conversation at our all-staff cookout. Big thank-you to our executive team for serving up lunch and the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for organizing fun conversation starters at each table. Also, to our facilities team for getting everything set up. We are better together here at Penfield.
Thank you to All 4 Less Catering for catering the amazing food!
